EIT InnoEnergy was founded in 2010 by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology with the mission of accelerating Europe’s energy transition. Nowadays, we bring together ideas, inventors, students and industry.
At EIT InnoEnergy, sustainability is about more than lowering emissions. True sustainability also means an industry that’s commercially viable, endlessly innovative, and highly competitive. We make this possible by supporting sustainable energy innovations which provide industry with risk free, pioneering new technologies that reduce energy costs, increase system performance, decrease greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, create jobs, and increase competitiveness. To this date, we have supported almost 400 start-ups, we have a network of more than 500 partners across Europe and more than 1200 students have graduated from our Master’s and PhD programmes.
EIT InnoEnergy Master School is the go-to-destination for current and aspiring sustainable energy engineers. Our Master’s programmes are offered at 16 of the highest ranked universities and business schools in Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and Finland.
All our programmes are double-degree two-location programmes. This means that our students study in at least two different European countries at universities such as UPC Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Spain, KTH: Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, TU/e: Eindhoven Technical University in the Netherlands and more. In addition to engineering skills, students are also trained in innovation and entrepreneurship at institutions such as ESADE Business School in Spain (# 13 Business School in Europe – FT 2020), Grenoble Ecole de Management (#5 Business School in France – FT 2020) & UnternehmerTUM (start-up accelerator of TUMunich, Germany).
The success of our graduates reflect the power of our network. 92% of them find a job within six months while 72% of them stay working in Europe. Some of the top employers of our students and graduates include companies such as Deloitte, Vattenfall, Tesla, EDF, McKinsey & Co. amongst others. In addition, four of our graduates have been recognized by Forbes 30 under 30 for their entrepreneurial ventures.
EIT InnoEnergy provides a unique opportunity to study at two of the best technical universities in Europe while also taking part in extracurricular activities to learn about innovation & entrepreneurship and prepare you to land the job of your dreams.

The largest accelerator in sustainable energies in Europe.
Besides offering educational programmes, EIT InnoEnergy also invests in projects, companies and innovations. We have supported more than 400 start-ups across Europe. It is our goal to connect each of our Master students with opportunities (internships, projects, jobs) at our supported start-ups. By joining EIT InnoEnergy, you join a pan European network of energy champions.
Commercial skills on top of engineering skills
Students following a Master’s programme with EIT InnoEnergy follow an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Journey (sort of a minor) next to their academic studies. This includes a vast range of activities such as start-up creation process supported by large incubators, city/country visits, participation in industry events, real-life challenges with energy companies, business modules at top business schools amongst others.
A two-year pan-European experience.
All EIT InnoEnergy Master’s are two-year two-location programmes. This gives students the opportunity to live, work and experience two different European countries. In addition, students obtain two degrees: one per university of studies.
LEAP Global Educational Consultants is an end-to-end student consulting agency and service platform, providing students and parents with current information about study offerings in Spain, aiming to facilitate their entry to the European job market.
